Our morning starts with coffee on the porch, howler monkeys making a racket in the trees, and air that smells like after the rain. It's looked like this for five years now: we came to travel, and realized we couldn't leave.
Then friends started asking: "Build us a trip like yours." Then friends of friends. That's how Volar Lejos was born: not an agency with a catalog, but two people who live here and build each family their own trip. Because no two people dream the same dream.

Why travel with us
It all starts with a conversation: who you are, what excites you, what pace feels right. Then we build an itinerary just for you. We recently had seven families traveling with us at once, each in a different place and each on a completely different trip: from pampering in luxury hotels to mountain trails and adrenaline.

Sigal has been in tourism for 33 years, and a new itinerary still excites her like the first one. There isn't a road, beach or soda (a small local eatery) she doesn't know, and she answers your WhatsApp even when all you need is a spontaneous tip for tonight. She's also the one who remembers you don't eat gluten and makes sure the room really faces the ocean. Hundreds of families already trust her with their eyes closed.
Shishi is our official door-opener. Five years in Costa Rica earned him a direct line to the owners of the hotels and attractions: no middlemen, no call centers. When you need an upgrade, a last-minute room, or a way into a place that's closed to tourists, he makes one phone call and it's done.
